Introduce young learners to the exciting world of magnets, engineering, and scientific discovery with the Hape Junior Inventor Magnetic Science Lab. This hands-on STEM kit includes 34 building pieces and seven guided experiments that encourage children to investigate how magnets attract, repel, move, and interact with different materials.
As children build and test each experiment, they develop an understanding of cause and effect, scientific inquiry, and basic engineering principles. Through observation, prediction, and experimentation, they learn how magnets work while strengthening problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
The open-ended design encourages children to explore beyond the included experiments, inspiring creativity and curiosity as they design their own magnetic investigations. The combination of building, testing, and discovery makes learning both engaging and meaningful.
Aligned with key expectations in the Ontario Science and Technology curriculum, this STEM kit supports scientific exploration, engineering thinking, and an understanding of forces and movement through hands-on learning.
Skills Developed:
• Scientific inquiry and investigation
• Understanding magnetism and forces
• Engineering and design thinking
• Problem-solving and critical thinking
• Cause-and-effect reasoning
• Observation and prediction skills
• Creativity and experimentation
Ideal For: Kindergarten and Primary students, STEM exploration, home learning and classrooms, and independent or collaborative problem-solving.
