Detective Club is a lively social deduction game where players analyze visual clues, interpret evidence, and work together to uncover hidden roles. In each round, players study illustrated cards, listen carefully to others’ explanations, and use reasoning to determine who is telling the truth and who might be bluffing.

Designed for intermediate and secondary learners, the game encourages players to think critically, make inferences, and support their ideas with evidence. As students debate their interpretations and justify their reasoning, they practise oral communication, persuasive thinking, and collaborative discussion.

Aligned with key expectations in the Ontario Language curriculum, particularly in oral communication, critical thinking, and inferencing, the game helps students develop the ability to interpret information, evaluate ideas, and respond thoughtfully to different perspectives.

Through discussion and strategic thinking, Detective Club strengthens analytical reasoning while encouraging respectful debate and active listening.
